Hey! I’m Vasiliki Kelaidi, a Landscape Photographer and Astrophotographer.
My photography journey started in Iceland in 2023. I went expecting beautiful landscapes and came back with something I hadn't anticipated — a compulsion to understand what it is that certain places do to people, including myself. The remoteness, the vastness, the shifting colours and the textures, the awe and the peace that results from these experiences. I wanted to photograph all of it, and I wanted to understand why it mattered.
That question took me to Patagonia, Arctic Norway, the Dolomites, La Palma, Utah, Arizona, Nevada, California, Crete, and to more remote corners of Greece where the skies are still dark enough to see the Milky Way. Each place added something to the answer.
The work that came out of it is adventure travel and landscape photography in places that take some effort to reach: the aurora over Senja and Lofoten, ice caves and glaciers in Iceland, the granite peaks of Patagonia, a total solar eclipse in Spain. Astrophotography is a large part of it. I work aerially where the landscape asks for it, and shoot video alongside stills.
I do this for wilderness hotels, lodges and retreats, for tourism boards and outdoor brands, for architecture studios building in remote places, as well as independently.
The interior side of my practice has been building in parallel for the better part of a decade: photographing completed interiors and hospitality spaces, and taking on styling and design work across residential and Airbnb projects in Athens and around Greece. All of it built around the same instinct — natural materials, considered light, spaces that bring the calm of nature inside.
Wander Therapy was born by bringing those two things together and realising they were never separate. The landscapes we travel to find, and the rooms we come home to, should be built on the same principles. Nature, calm, the quiet restoration that happens when an environment is curated with care rather than convenience. We seek it outside. We can build it inside. Living by those principles — even without naming them — has a way of changing how everything else feels.
